Question:

Why does my rabbit eat poisonous plants?

When i let Eddie my rabbit out into the garden he allways nibbles on all of the poisonous plant im really worried because he does this all the time and no matter how much i tell him off for doing this he allways goes straight back to the plants.

Can some one please give me answers? Thank you Ashlie x

  1. Obviously they are not poisonous to Eddie or he would be dead already.


  2. Eddie doesn't know they are poisonous.

  3. What plants is Eddie eating? Many plants are edible to rabbits but not to humans. if he is eating them and they are poisonous he would be dead or very sick by now.

    Rabbits do not understand you telling them something, they act on instinct and if the plant was bad for him he would not eat it.
