All the functions work volume rewind/fast forward...etc. But, there is no sound what so ever...I put in a CD and still there isn't any sound. I even turn the volume way up but still there is no sound. This happened very suddenly while I was driving. A friend said it could be the fuses but I would rather get a second opinion. Can someone help restore my sanity, please?

  1. because its not registerd as a station

  2. I don't really think its your fuse because if that was the problem then the whole radio wouldn't work. If its a factory stereo just replace it with an aftermarket stereo. It'd probably be cheaper to do that than to have the factory stereo fixed.

  3. It can't be a fuse, if everything is working, lights, display, etc. It is getting all the power it needs. You should have at least two speakers hooked into this system. If it is stock, you might reach behind the unit and see if you have any loose wires, if not check your speakers. Speakers do go out, but not at the same time, one or the other would still work. If all your wiring is good, I would safely bet that the amplifier is out on the stereo. You will need to replace the whole radio. Hope this helps.

  4. See if the spkrs came unplugged under the dash/
