I'll be cruising on my 1986 harley FLH and sometimes I can't get past 60mph I barely touch the rear brake and it grabs and squels and then I can resume speed. Caliper?

  1. Yes, it sounds like the piston may be sticking in the bore.

The other thing it might be is a small piece of crud in the line or master cylinder. It's not as likely, when that happens they usually don't release.

  2. You might be dragging your rear brake pedal.  If not, have the caliper checked for clearance.

Forgive me, but I've been getting it for years, so...buy a real bike.

  3. You didn't by accident put DOT 4 in your bike did you?
