Why does my refrigerator freezer frost up but the fridge side wont stay cold? Unit is a G.E. and 3years old.

GE ref have a cheap defrost heater in them and they fail about in that time frame Remove power and take back freezer wall off and the heater is at the bottom, and cost around 20.00 dollars. Use only a hair dryer to melt ice or you will warp the plastic liner.

Very common problem with Ge Refrigerator, When you remove back inside of freezer, you will see broken glass around the heater. See link below for your defrost heater
