  1. The drain line that goes from the freezer to the condensate pan is clogged.  The bottom of the freezer must be removed to gain access.  In the rear there is a trough that collects the water during a defrost cycle.  The trough is filled with ice along with the small drain hole.  I use a hair dryer and very hot water to melt the ice and clear the drain.

  2. There is a few things that can cause this problem. Check this information and see if you can spot your problem -

  3. If it's hot and humid it's because of the condesation build up and then it leaks.  Mine does the same thing.  Don't turn up the temp. it won't stop the leak, just freeze your food.  I just keep a towel i front of the frig.  God luck!

  4. The defrost water is the problem the defrost pan under the evap coil could have paper in it. If the box is older the insulation between the freezer and fresh food compartment could be saturated with water and freezing up the defrost hole, I would turn the box off for 24 hours and let all the ice melt and inspect the drain pan under the evap coil for paper, if after a week or two the problem comes back the divider block is wet and should be changed. If you see ice on the ff compartment ceiling in the back the block is wet!

  5. when is in defrost the water has to go through the drainage system that it has if it doesnt go there then is going to on your floor and food

  6. FWIW

Tomcat,  most refrigerators have their evaporator coils and thus the drain pan behind a panel on the BACK wall.

Only a few have them on the bottom of the freezer.
