Why does my screensaver come on when watching a movie?

I was watching a movie on Hulamovies.com and my screensaver keeps coming on, I changed the time on the control panel but my question is : Why does it come on when the movie is playing and keeping the screen active?

This happens to me when watching a video in WMP.

The only advice i can give is set it to three hours or more then set it back when finished.

My grandfather was of a generation, that were using screen savers.

It was necessary then, because icons could burn in your monitor.

That is not the case any more for many years, Screen savers are now used as a kind of decoration.  Using it as a Screen saver is out of date.

Just turn it off, unless you are also using them as background decorations

Set the idle time for longer so that the Screen saver doesn't interrupt you on you're PC.

I think i have mine set for 5 hours,...something like that.
