  1. That sucks, mine works fine.

  2. Not mine.. I get good reception all day long, as long as nothing is blocking my antenna.

It might be your radio or your exterior antenna, somethng might be blocking it.

  3. I would look and see if after dark as the signal is going down if something isn't coming into the way or blocking your signal. Also you may want to see if it's a satellite you are actually receiving or one of the repeaters possibly operating on solar power (Usually they will use solar panels to charge the batteries in a commercial setup and if for some reason something is causign it to run on solar only could be the reason)

Without seeing the setup it's hard to diagnose, but unless you are on a fringe of Sirius, you shouldn't have no problems in regards to time

  4. The current satellite's Sirius has in the sky continuously orbit the earth.  In this image: http://site.peopleswireless.biz/images/s... , you can see what orbit they make.  Depending on where you live, there may be a time of day when the satellite is farther away from your house, or not withing range.  This is when you'd need to use the terrestrial signals (Regular antennas on ground).  Obviously, the exterior antenna may be hard to get to to move.

So, I'd suggest moving the exterior antenna around to find a position that makes the receiver catch a signal after 7:50 PM.  Once you've locked in, and receive a consistent signal, keep it that way, and see if it works throughout the rest of the day.
