It is brand new and operating correctly. Ive noticed this noise with other freezers as well. After I close the door, it makes a noise that sounds like rushing air. What is this noise from?

  1. probably the compressor fan.  Try putting many many more bags of chicken wings in there and see if this unsulates the sound.  Let me know once you do and I will come over to verify.

  2. that noise of rushing air is, rushing air.

You have a fan inside your freezer, that circulates air inside your unit, to disperse air to all areas of your unit, otherwise the cold air that is produced from the removal of heat would remain towards the bottom of the unit.
