My heel keeps popping. It does it about once a week and each time it does it gets more painful. What causes this. I have had several bed injuries (severe sprain and fracture) several years ago. I have also been told that I may have tendonitis. I stretch my calf and heel numerous times a day. The doctor put me in a walking boot for the pain and sent me to physical therapy. I lost my medical insurance so now I cant go to the doctor. THe pain is getting unbearable. What can I do and What causes this. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.

THanks

  1. could be tendonitis.  Ice it and whenever you get the opportunity stay off of it.  Try to notice what is happening when it pops and avoid that activity completly.  It is very likely that it is being caused by prevous injury.  When it gets to where you cant stand to walk use crutches.  Unfortuantly there is not much you can do medially without insurance.  Check for a medical school that is looking for people for students to practice on.  Usully these centers are cheap but free.  Also check with social service in your area to see if you qulify for any assistance. I wish there is more I oculd offer.

  2. I don't think there is any other solution except coming across with any doctor but you are saying you are lost your insurance so you can not do this . So I think you can also make prepare another for getting treatment.
