Why does my toe turn white and gets numb?

When my feet get cold my toes turn red except for the toe beside the big one. It just now started doing this, and im just walking around and alll of a sudden i cant feel that one toe.

Does any one know why?

  1. As stated previously this is most likely due to circulation.  If blood flow is reduced to an area paraesthesia (numbness) can occur.

    There is a medical condition called Raynaud's which this is very common to happen in. I would advise to see your GP.

  2. When you get cold there is less blood flow to the rest of your body, especially your extremeties such as your fingers or toes.  With little blood flow in your toes, they will lose their color.  

    That's why when you see people that are really cold they look pale.
