  1. I'm sure Tom-Tom is not LYING to you - he's just not properly programmed or updated with the information you need.

Read your manual again to make sure you're using it correctly.  Go to the website and make sure there are no updates available.

  2. I doubt it's Tom Tom lying to you per se. As the earlier answerers suggested, maybe there was a Wendy's there at one time.

To get into the technical side of how Tom Tom works without too much technobabble, I'll give a brief explanation of how it works.

It relies on data from the "Global Positioning System" which is a series of several satellites in orbit that continuously transmit data back to earth, or more specifically, to GPS receivers like the one that's at the heart of your Tom Tom. Even with a GPS receiver tracking the suggested minimum 4-6 satellites, accuracy (depending on a slew of conditions) is usually within 35-150 feet, so in short, there's going to always be at least a small amount of error.

  3. Maybe its an older model and at the time it was constructed there was a Wendy's at the time, which has since been demolished. Its just like how you wont be able to get directions to a newly developed complex, or a newly built street if they were made after the gps. Sometimes you can purchase upgrades that have the new constructions, etc.

  4. wat do u mean?

  5. cuz you're gullible and tomtom loves to lie.

  6. Assuming you are not playing with Wendy's the restaurant and Wendy a woman, then the most likely problem is failing to match the address with the real world.  There is a major defect in all the address matching programs, online or stored in that they try to calculate where an address falls from the street number and the LatLong of a nearby intersection/base number.  However, most of them assume that the numbers in the block run from 0 to 99, not the 0-34 or 0-67 that many do.  So in looking up 6750, it will look at the 50 and guess it is in the middle of the block instead of down at the end.  Some data files actually have the number at the end of the block but it is ignored as far as I can tell.   This really gets exciting for blind people using talking GPS where it may say -"You have arrived" when they are 150 feet or more away or have been turned in the wrong direction from a street comng in from the side in mid block.

  7. Maybe tom dislikes your interests and wants to go somewhere he likes.
