Why does my tv have all 3 input wire slots but only 2 output wire slots?

I am interested in making a Halo montage with a dazzle capture card. I have seen videos displaying setup with the dazzle capture card. My question is why does my tv lack a output wire slot for the yellow wire cable? Will this hinder my ability to transfer the gameplay from my xbox 360 to my computer? Any suggestions on what to do?

Not at all. you just have to double up on your connections. Here's what you'll need.

3 double-ended  FEMALE to FEMALE av connectors (or 5 if you have the Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr or RGB connection)

your console and cable connection

2 extra cables (one will go to the tv, the other to the capture unit, make sure they are the same type as your output cable from the console)

3 splitters (make sure the there are TWO female ends and not one, I made this mistake before, otherwise you will need to buy twice as many connectors)

Instructions for setup:

1. Disconnect the console's cable from the television if you have not already done so.

2. Connect a female to female connector to each of the 3 (or 5) connectors on the console's cable.

3. Connect the male end of the splitter (if you have 2 male ends, you bought the wrong one!) on each of the 3 (or 5) splitters to the female to female's other end.

4. Connect both cables to the female ends of the splitter.

5. Hook up each cable to the TV and capture card respectively.

Enjoy your newfound power! Since the signal is digital, the degradation on it because of having two cables should be minimal. And if you ever have any other electronics questions like this one, all you have to do is ask me!

the YELLOW wire is video.

the TV displays video so they figure there is no reason to output it.

to capture the video from your xbox as well as play on the TV you need to split the video signal between the TV and xbox.
