OK so this has been going on for about 5 months

when I'm on my period. This has never happened

to me, ever, my period always smelled literally like

blood not like if i had a dead animal inside me.

So that month i had my period with a very very

strong smell I could shower and still the smell wouldn't go.

GODS the smell even stayed on my hands with that horrible smell

i actually had to scrub a lot of soap to get the smell off,

Nothing that i seemed to do stopped the strong smell...

Ever since i have had my first period it had NEVER smelled so

offending, NEVER.

The next month my period

came but the odor wasn't THAT strong just

something in the middle and on the third month

I actually had no period just a few stains but

still a little bit of smell. And this month i had my period for

almost 2 weeks but still it smells. I don't think

i will ever get to smell as "innocent" as i used

to ... so why am I starting to smell so bad now?

why so sudden? Could there be something really

wrong with me?

  1. It's natural to have a strong odor during your period. That smell will get stronger as you get older. You can use douche if you feel that embarrassed about it. Drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits, that may help some.

  2. wash the darn thing already!!!!

  3. I think you need to go and see an OBGYN. Don't be embarrassed, they won't be.

  4. I am a little embarrassed to admit this but I too have also had a foul smell coming from down there, but the thing is I get my period every 6 months because I am on the birth control called "depo provera". I went to my doc to check out that area & see what was going on down there & it turned out that I had a bacterial Infection. I think you should contact your doctor a.s.a.p to see if there is anything going on that shouldn't be. I know there is a smell when a woman is on her period which is normal & it isn't that strong, but if yours is as strong as you are saying then I think you should check out with you're doctor. If you can be straight forward with us yahoo strangers on a subject like that, then it should be easier to talk about it with a trained professional that you trust.
