Everytime I watch a video of myself speaking or a recording, my voice seems to be so much lower than what I hear when I speak.

Why is that?

  1. I don't know why but its for everyone. You hear your voice sounds different to you than to your friends or someone else.

  2. It is actually not really distorted. It is because when you hear your voice through your ears it sounds slightly different compared to when you speak. This is because your voice goes to your ear by a different route.

  3. The camera picks up certain soundwaves from your body. Your body might just give out lower soundwaves. Try speacking louder or higher next time.

  4. hmmmmm thats weird

  5. That is because you hear yourself throughe your body and bones but on the recordings you here yourself througe the air.

  6. its due to the bad quality of ur recorder

  7. That is the way you sound to other people... The way you hear yourself is slightly different
