Why does my webcam freeze after inviting my buddy during yahoo messenging?

I can accept a webcam invitation and continue to yahoo message and view my buddy, but when I invite everything freezes; it even delays when I tried to close the window of the webcam invite the message block appears: "This program is not responding" I am using "Yahoo Messenger with Voice" but do not have earphones so I just message in script typing only. I have an old computer with 2.38GB and 340MB of space left. I also have to do disc cleanup often. I had to buy "WindowsXP Home and upload it onto this computer in order to operate it when I first got it. It had a previous owner. Would this have anything to do with this problem? Someone please help!!

Maybe because you don't have a fast internet connection or the webcam software was not installed properly.

Try uninstalling the webcam and installing it again and see if it works. If not then contact your webcam manufacturer :)
