Why does my well pump cycle so frequent during use?

i have a bladderless tank so i have to make sure it doesn`t get waterlogged,but my pump cycles to much i feel because it comes on and off within a minute or less.switch is good.40 and 60.i`m afraid my pump will burn up if this continues

Short cycling can damage the pump or the pump pressure relay controls.  If you know that the water level in the tank is very high (condensate is visible near top of tank) then it sounds like your water pressure tank is not able to hold an air charge.  You may have a bad Air Volume Control Valve or a leaky tank that is letting the air escape.  A good, air tight system should hold an air charge for several months or even a year or more.  If you know the Air Volume Control Valve is good or if it has been removed and your tank becomes waterlogged frequently then you may need a new tank.
