Why does my wet vac blow the water out of the back

I just bought a husky 2.5 gal wet vac to pick up some water from a leaking ac. It sucks up the water and blows most of it back out on the floor.

Sounds like there is a place there where you can hook up a garden hose to it so that the water goes where you want it to.  Sometimes wet vacs have like sump pumps as well and that could be why.
