Why does my wii internet channel take so long to start up

This problem started happening recently, when I got to the wii internet channel, and enter a web adress, it takes about 2 minutes to actually start loading the page, for 2 minutes it does nothing.

I have left it with the wii connect 24 on and even then this happens, is it a problem with only my wii?

have you been goin on bad websites or maybe the connection youve always connected to is week
