  1. You're on DSL which uses your phone line.  To fix this you need to plug your phone into the adapter for your wireless modem.  Right now your phone is plugged into a seperate jack in the house.  It needs to be plugged into the special phone adapter on your DSL wireless router.  Then it will work!

  2. I assume that you are using a 2.4Ghz telephone.

modern telephones do not have the option to change channels, because they automatically cycle several channels constantly.

you need to change the channel your router broadcasts on.

go to http://192.168.1.1 and change the channel the router broadcasts on.

According to the info that I found online, the default password for your device should be blank. If not, or if you changed the password for your router (not your wifi password) then you will need to enter whatever password you set, or check the user manual for the default password.

if for whatever reason the above IP address does not direct you to your modems configuration page open up a command prompt, click start and type "cmd" (without the quotes) into the run (or search bar on vista) when at the command prompt type "ipconfig" with out the quotes) look for the IP address next to "Default Gateway" and enter that number as it appears into your web browser to access the router configuration

  3. Change channels on your phones if they are cordless.  Move the wireless router away from where ever it is right now, and keep away from electronic devices such as telephones, microwaves, things like that.   The two signals are interfering somehow.
