Why does my yahoo account keep saying that I am not old enough to recommend a news story?

I went into my profile to see what was in there for my birth date, but it is hidden for security purposes(which is good) but I should be able to see it or change it. How old do you have to be? I am between 40 and 50 yr.s old.

You may have made a mistake when you entered it. There is no way to see or change it for security reasons. You may have to create a new account.
