Why does my young son do this?

Question

Right after my 3 1/2yr old little boy has been given a spanking,he will sit down and start tugging at the front of his pants,like he is trying to pull them away from himself.

He will do this for several minutes after a spanking,then eventually stop tugging.

He does this after about every spanking,does anybody have any ideas why he is doing that?

If you have a son,has he ever done that after a spanking,and if he has,did you find out why he was doing it?

Why are you spanking your child so much??  It is probably a nervous habit because he wants nothing touching him after you spank him.  Can't you use time-out or something?  I believe in a swat to get a child's attention, but not spanking to discipline.  The reason is I have seen too many spank their kids when angry.  It is not a good idea.

It sounds like he is upset, and he is taking it out on his pants. He is spanking his pants. Kids do stuff like that. I`ve seen kids who after getting scolded turn around and scold who ever is next to them.

Your son is doing this because he is mad.  Don't think it's anything bad he just thinks you will give him symphony because he is throwing a fit. Instead of spanking him try putting him in a naughty spot/corner/step this might make the pant grabbing go away.
