  1. That's a tough question to answer.  it's like asking why diarrhea effects the colon.  It's just what is effected.  

    Now, for a few specifics...  If you are nauseous from an illness, you vomit because your body is trying to get rid of what is making you sick.  If you are vomiting because you are nervous or scared, that's your body's natural reaction since it takes a lot of energy to digest food and your body wants to use that energy to help you survive.  It's the same for when you have an injury.

Nausea affects the stomach because the word nausea comes from both the Latin 'nausea' and Greek 'nausia', meaning seasickness.  The word described the condition affecting the stomach, the condition existed before the word.  Therefore, the word would not properly describe any other medical condition.
