Why does nevada prohibit dog racing?

They have every other kind of sport/gambling, why not dog racing?

Too much water needed to grow the trees for the dogs to pee on.

Because we don't need it. We don't actually have a horse track or lottery either. The casinos have enough influence in the government to keep out any other forms of gambling, and again, it's totally unnecessary.
