Why does no one accuse Dale JR of being...?

a traitor by leaving his fathers company?

"He wants to be his own man and not like his father" is what a lot of people will say, but does this mean he didn't care about what his father built enough to stay after his passing?

Theresa is always referred to as the evil step mother, but has no one thought that Dale JR may be the evil step son? Eager to get 51% ownership of his fathers company...

Why do people quickly write it off as a great decision and blame Theresa for everything wrong with Dale JR. I have seen her a couple of times on television and she seems like a genuinely nice woman. She does talk much in public do to a speech problem and I kind of feel sorry for her. I think she made a great choice by not giving Dale Jr control of DEI

So my question is:

1. Why does no one accuse Dale JR of being a traitor?

2. Why is Theresa the evil step mom, but Dale JR isn't, even after leaving the company his father built? Were they not close?

Because he wanted to stay. and he used logic thinking that if his dad would have been around longer he would have eventually given control of the company to JR. something that his step mom doesnt see. that company was made to eventually pass to junior after SR. passed on. senior just didnt think it would happen so fast

It's pretty simple really. Dale Sr. always drove for Richard Childress. He created DEI. A team that he never raced for himself. Ever.

Jr. is doing the same thing. He drives for Rick Hendrick. Jr's Nationwide team just won this past Saturdays race with another driver.

The brat got greedy and tried a hostile takeover. Luckily The First Lady Of Racing put him in his place and said don't let the door hit you in the @ss on your way out. Brat went to Hendrick, which freed up 2008 Cup Champion Kyle Busch to join Gibbs Racing. Junior's winless streak continues. Kyle has 4 wins in a young season. All is well with the world.

I can not believe he would do this to the legacy his father built. I bet he rolled over in the grave when he went to team Satan. But Jr.does not care.

Here we go again! Obviously there are still a whole bunch of people out there that just don't get it. This question proves that. Many reports have been written and interviews done on this topic and the horse is dead for crying out loud! Stop beating it.

I could respond to alot of this but I won't. What I will say is that Jr was "given" nothing. And if he should be great because of his name then Kyle Petty should also have a dozen championships as well. I mean come on! how many years has it been since he won a race? When the last time you have seen Teresa at the track in support of her company and it's drivers?

Because have you seen how crappy DEI is lately? And really, DEI's been going downhill for years. All Jr wanted was some say in the racing operations of DEI, he could've cared less about things like Dale Sr. merchandise and things like that. Keep this in mind, JR Motorsports had more modern equipment in it's shop than DEI did(in fact DEI used to use Jr's shaker rig) and that was for a Busch car and 3 local late model cars, yet DEI didn't have this kind of stuff for 3 Cup cars.

You know families and family troubles go way past evil step mom and step son we will never now the truth behind that one.  But here is what we do know.  Dale Sr. built that company for his kids all of his kids not just Taylor Nicole.  How many engines did Jr. go through last year?  whose fault was that giving him shoddy equipment.  I do refer to Theresa as the evil step mom but I don't know that either is evil just a difficult family relationship.

He left because he wasnt getting ownership of a company that should've been his in the first place not his stepmothers. and he didnt leave his fathers company he left his stepmoms company because after sr. passed thats what it became. he made all the right choices.

Dale Sr. NEVER drove for DEI. It was a Business that HE credited MANY,MANY,MANY times Theresa with being in charge of.

He said that before she started helping the banks would not talk to him, now they call me for money. (Maybe not a direct quote, but close).

So the business was their business. Dale left a will that gave the business to his business partner, Theresa. He DID NOT leave any part of it to his children.

What would you say to your STEPCHILD if they came and said, "Hey thanks for helping my dad out of a tough time, helping make him a household name, and giving us millions. Now get out of the way, and let me have what I want".

I would have slapped that goofy grin, and cheesy facial hair right off his face.

Now he is following in his dads footsteps, driving for another owner. Remember, Sr. drove for Childress, against his own drivers @ DEI.

Several people within the mass media did lable him as a traitor,but in the same breath they said that he is being amired for sticking to his guns Earnhardt fasion.His dad would have done that too if the right offer was on the table.

As for Teresa,she was overseeing an empire that has more than one person attempting to run the company.

An unofficial report said that the company was to be devided 5 ways upon her demise,1 part for each of the 4 earnhardt children and 1 for futures.)

Jr is not a traitor. For one, he is a businessman. He knew Hendick had the equipment and the money, and was willing to spend it. Either Teresa didn't have the money or wouldn't spend it to make Jr a top contender. How many blown engines can you stand? Teresa is the traitor for not giving the blood sons of Dale Sr. their birthright like she should have right off. She's just a step-mother, not even a blood relative.

Jr is all-over doing much better this year and you can tell his confidence level is up. He had a bad relationship with Teresa, and that probably made it tough coming to work eveyday. I mean geez, the guy just lost his father!

I predict that someday DEI will be back in the right hands again.

just how much does Jr need to be given before he can prove himself ?

he has every possible advantage

huge amounts of money, and a great experienced crew

his dad is argueably the greatest driver ever, you would think some of it would rub off

if he isnt doing well it seems it is likely to be blamed on his crew chief

with all he has been handed you would think he should be right at the top of the points almost all the time

1. No one accuses him of being a traitor becaus1.e they are his fans and to them he can do no wrong. whatever he says is right 100% of the time

2. if you ask me he is the evil one but 99% of people seem to love him and blame any faults of his on someone else.

Because he didn't leave to be a jerk he left because his step mother switched the sponsor on him and won't let him have any say in the company that should rightfully be his anyway over hers.  She is power-trippin'.

i think Theresa had sabotoged (sp?) Jr...i mean seriously...he ALWAYS was having blown engines..but now this year..No one on DEI has had a blown engine! seems a little fishy to me...

Theresa's not even a blood relative.
