Why does nobody care about the genocidal war of aggression that Russia is waging against Georgia?

The war in Afghanistan and Iraq, as badly as the Bush Administration has handled is to eliminate the Muslim Terrorist trining camps that were used to train the hijackers who hijacked the palnes that they flew into the World Trade Center Towers.

The Gerorgians wer not trining any Terrorists to hijack Russian Arliners and fly them into Russian Office Buildings.

I dont think its because our country/people dont care its more that we already have alot of stuff going on now and this does not directly involve the U.S. As somone also stated before that most of us dont even know that georgia is even a place we beilve it is one of our own states. If it was involving our own people/military then we would be more on top of this topic, but when it doesnt consern us many of the people dont care.

I don't know. Why haven't they cared about the genocide in Africa? Right now I think things are a little rocky all over the world and we have our own fish to fry. I am sorry for these people and I will pray for them, but I will also pray that we don't get involved. We are stretched to thin as it is.

I totally agree with James who posted above me. Russia has a long history of invading others and slaughter innocent civilians. Russia and all of the Russian leaders since the 15th century need to be charged with war crimes for this and other invasions. The people of Georgia, I will always stand by your side in against the russians because I also hate the russians. The americans should not continue to remain silent on russia's aggression. Thta's why the NATO exists. Its purpose is to stop Russia aggression against the other nations. Russia has used barbarin methods in separating outer mongolia from China and occupied a large portion of terrorities from China and I will promise to teach russia a lesson on one day. Also, I am from the Democratic republic of china (Taiwan), NOT from the russia puppet- the evil and unlawful communist People's republic of china.

It is not a genocidal war.  It is about a region within the georgian frontiers where a majority of the populace are actually Russian, and have declared independence from Georgia - a country which, incidentally, has a government of corrupt collaborators in US pay.

Most people do not know that there is even an independent nation named Georgia.

When you ask this question of United States citizens they think that you are talking about the state of Georgia.

They respond with silly responses that they have not seen any Russians invading Atlanta, but if they see any they will shoot them with a hunting rifle.

I have relatives in the region.

According to reports from my relatives it appears to be that Russia is determined to kill as many Georgian civilians as possible as fast as possible.

If something is not done immediately Russia will kill most of the Georgian Civilians before the world knows about it.

That appears to be the plan. While the world is distracted with the Olympics in China, it appears that Russia has decided to kill most of the civilians in Georgia.

By the time the world wakes up the deed will have been done and it will be too late to do anything about it.

The majority  of the citizens of Georgia will have been slaughtered.

We are witnessing another holocaust and we do not even know it and nobody cares.

I think you're wrong.....there is due process the real tension is between Russia and the United States, which are locked in a post-Cold War struggle for influence in the region since it provides vital transportation and pipeline links.  Rice urged Russia to halt air and missile attacks and withdraw combat forces from Georgian territory. She wants Russia to respect Georgian sovereignty and agree to international mediation.  Talks that Georgia and Ukraine might join NATO at some point, gave Russia cause to reassert itself on the world stage since Russia resents NATO's expansion in regions that it considers within its influence. This is not genocide this is real estate.
