  1. I think Bhopal Tourism department responsible for this. tourism department should take initiative in this regards.

  2. I think the problem is infrastructure & facilities. For any tourist place these are the most important things.

Take for example you are in Bhopal and you wish to visit Bhim Betka ( International Heritage). It will take more than 2 hours to reach there. The roads are really in bad shape. It is on the NH 12 and it looks like you are driving on a local road of any city. If you wish to visit Sanchi, then again the same problem. Try going by train, only one train (Bhopal-Bilaspur Exp) in morning starts from Bhopal and takes 1 hour. No facilities for lodging and meals.

In Bhopal itself there are many nice places to visit. Many of my foreigner friends visited Bhopal and they liked it. But still there are so many things to be done from this point of view.

One more problem is awareness. The govt is not concerned much about this. If you want to sell something then you should have a good marketing team.

So, in order to develop any place from the point of view of tourism, it is very important to develop the following

    1. Good roads

    2. Hotels & restaurants

    3. Good connectivity by road, rail and air.

    4. Good publicity and marketing

  3. 40 tonnes of Methylisocyanate is in the air there.. people can die..

  4. This is new knowledge for me I will definetly come to the place, lack of publicity (promotion) may be the reason for tourists ignoring the place.

  5. Because we don't want to be poisoned by the toxic air and soil
