  1. Outstanding Question - Many people have their heads in the sand & are oblivious to the Fact that Sarah Palin is a GOVERNOR who has GOVERNED for 2 years during which time Palin reformed both the corrupt Republican Party in Alaska + the corrupt Oil Industry in Alaska. Gov. Palin has Chaired many Investigative Committees & has a 90 % approval rating in Alaska.

Obama has been a US Senator ( by DEFAULT )  for 143 days during which time Obama has had NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

Prior to serving in the US Senate for 143 days, Obama served as State Senator in Illinois during which time the ONLY piece of Legislation that Obama EVER authored which was passed into Law was a Bill REDUCING Criminal Penalties for Gang Related Homicides in Illinois.

  2. Because she will be one stroke, heart attack away from the "Red phone' at 3am.....when the baby cries.

  3. Sarah Palin ihave no experience what so ever.If she have just some she won't stay in alaska pumped up 5 kid.

  4. More qualified to be in a photo shoot, yes.

More qualified to run the country?  No.

  5. Republics made the experience rule - what now you do not want to play now? You are funny.  Ha

  6. There are a lot more qualified women in the Republican Party. This pick just insults the intelligence of women.

I think McCain and the Republican needed buzz. Obama has more positive press.  They must think Hillary supporters are stupid.

Palin has almost nothing in common with Hillary. They have totally different views on abortion, gun rights and the economy.

Plus, Hillary has plenty of experience and has proven herself on a grand scale. Palin admits not to knowing what the VP job entails. Seriously, women please open your eye. Vote for the ticket that most closely represents your ideas and not gender!

  7. Keep trying to convince yourself.

  8. It's a matter of opinion, and it's not mine.  I'm not impressed that she was mayor of Podunk, or her brief tenure as Governor of an empty state.  Rightists ridiculed Gov. Clinton for being governor for 12 years of a "small" state that had lots more people than Alaska.  See what phonies rightists are?

  9. How dare you insult the diety like Obama? He has TONS of experience in self promotion.

  10. Because ignorance is bliss !!

Alaska Govermor Sarah Palin has MORE TOTAL political experience than Obama.

    KimS

  11. Heres the difference we weighed obama experience, judgement, and intellect and decided the former two were more than enough to make up for his short time in the senate.  Mccain made the decision on his own that being a governor of a state with less people than my city and a hockey mom of 5 children is enough qualification to take over for him when he dies.  She has not been vetted as obama has these past 2 years.  There is no way they are on the same level.

  12. Because she's not.

She's been governor for 20 months and Obama has 12 years experience in the State Senate and US Senate. Plus, he's passed vital legislation, one of which let to police interrogations being recorded and another led to "Google for Government."

Now, Palin may have been an effective governor, but there is no way NO WAY she is more qualified than Obama.

  13. she was the mayor of a city of 9,000 ppl!!! 3,000 kids go to my highschool!

obama is a senator of the state of illinois which has an estimated 12,831,970 ppl according to the us censcus

    http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/...

alaska has a total population of 670,053... thats not even 10% of the population of illinois...

    http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/...

so saying obama is under qualified while supporting a candidate who is GROSSLY under qualified is disturbing.

  14. They've turned a blind eye to it because it scares them that Obama could actually lose.

  15. Great point.  And allow me to add...McCain has had 22 years of experience serving in the US Senate...Obama...~173 days.

  16. They do not care.

McCain was not a Governor of a state.. McCain hasn't even managed a taco bell.

Obama is not running against McCain's soul mate.

  17. Most people do, but are too pathetic and desperate to acknowledge it.

  18. Because Obamanators are in a trance.

  19. Maybe Sarah should go home and take care of her child who has down syndrome than be selfish.

  20. She's been a governor for 21 months. Of a state that doesn't even like to be reminded it's actually part of the United States. She has absolutely zero experience in Washington, vs. Obama getting experience on the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate, and having the chance to work with both sides of the aisle on national (not just state), domestic and foreign issues. He beats her hands down in those areas. Do you really look at her and see Presidential material? Really? I mean come on, McCain seems in good health now, but at 72, he is at highly increased odds for a sudden debilitating health problem or death. That means Palin would be President. We're on two, soon to be three, war fronts and heading into a deep recession.  And because John McCain thinks so little of women that he thinks he can snare Hillary supporters by using a conservative woman in place of Hillary he has picked a VP who frankly would be clueless if she were confronted with just about any foreign crisis.  She wouldn't make a pimple on Hillary's back end.  And apparently he thinks women can't tell the difference between a Republican conservative and a Democratic moderate.  Is he that ignorant about women or does he just think we're that ignorant?  The Presidency doesn't require a business manager - it never has.  But it does require pertinent and deep knowledge of the complexities that await a President in Washington D.C.   I'm not one to make jokes about McCain's age, but if he really thinks that Palin fits that bill maybe he IS getting a bit soft in the noggin.

  21. Because to see her for who she is runs counter to the sexist / feminist stupidity of the good ole boy Democrats, and to top it off her husband is a union member Hmmmmm.

  22. Clearly they do...or they wouldn't be in such a tizzy about it.

  23. The only reason she was selected AFTER the dems chose their VP, was to get the 18 million Hilary voters.  McCain WILL do ANYTHING to win and he proved it by selecting a woman serving her first term.  All this time his argument with Obama was "no experience."  I guess the no experience excuse overrides when he wanted the Hilary votes.

  24. i find it hilarious that we are having to compare the top of their ticket to the bottom of ours, lmao, they knew they couldnt stack up against mccain, hahahahaha.

  25. I rather a Harvard Law graduate who understands the Constitution than a Idaho journalism graduate who can tell me who won the Pistons game!

  26. You do not know all of the facts! Here they are:

Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background:

She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

This is information the American people need to see. Please take a moment to forward this email to your friends and family.

We also asked Alaska MoveOn members what the rest of us should know about their governor. The response was striking. Here's a sample:

She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience. I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M., Fairbanks, AK

She is VERY, VERY conservative, and far from perfect. She's a hunter and fisherwoman, but votes against the environment again and again. She ran on ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges involving hiring and firing of state officials. She has NO experience beyond Alaska. —Christine B., Denali Park, AK

As an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. Palin is not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. —Karen L., Anchorage, AK

Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position.—Sherry C., Anchorage, AK

She's vehemently anti-choice and doesn't care about protecting our natural resources, even though she has worked as a fisherman. McCain chose her to pick up the Hillary voters, but Palin is no Hillary. —Marina L., Juneau, AK

I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., Anchorage, AK

So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced.

In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.

In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's vice-presidential choice means. Please pass this information along to your friends and family.

    Thanks for all you do.
