In Bejing, China, two american protesters were arrested for protesting against the chinese government. After they were detained, they were fed tea and KFC food. The police interrogated the protesters for several hours. The police ordered the protesters to leave the country, but they could not afford to buy an airplane ticket to Los Angelos, CA. The police paid for their airplane ticket and escorted the protestors to the airplane.

  1. Because they don't have the guts to do anything much to people who would have someone to speak out for them. They are busy oppressing their own citizens and preventing anyone who might tell the truth from talking to  journalists.

I am glad now that they had the olympics there because it has brought home to many people just what a terrible system of government China has, How oppressed its people are and how totally the govenment is willing to lie, cheat and steal tio achieve its ends.

China could well be the new evil empire!

  2. Because the entire world is watching them right now, this is the most attention they have ever gotten.  They dont want to take any of the spotlight off of the olympic games, because of a couple of protestors.  Had they punished the protestors then that would make the news in the US and would bring negative media on Beijing.

  3. The protestors were treated very well.

No country should have to put up with protestors invading them, and be asked to follow the rules of the protestors country of origin.

China had a right to interrogate to verify that the protestors were not terrorists.  Apparently they decided they were just protestors and did what they had a right to do - tell them if they hate it here so much LEAVE.....

  4. Because they are nuts over there. Just like Korea.
