Why does on crucial.com does it say my laptop has 1076 mb and on control panel>system it says 959 mb?

  1. You're laptop has a graphics card that utilises system memory.

    You physically have 1076mb (or close enough), but only 959mb (or close enough) is available to the system, as the rest has been reserved for graphics, windows can therefore only use 959mb, hence the result in control panel.  


  2. sm part of ur ram is taken by d onboard graphics card for its requirements..so,even though u hav 1072 MB ram,only 959 MB is available for the sole purpose of ram(rest is in the custody of the graphics dept)...

    dont worry..its not a problem at all...

  3. Does that include virtual memory? Or maybe it's just rounded up.
