  1. Because your feet are warm from being in bed.  The floor isn't 98.6 degrees and the floor is room temperature causing the heat from your feet to transfer to the floor.  When you lose heat it feels cold.

  2. because its cold!! or because of the adgust in temperature- from being under the covers all night, to bein wokn up by cold floor tiles.

  3. Because the floor tiles are colder than your feet, you feel the cold better than if they were the same temperature.

  4. because your body's warm from sleeping

  5. If it was a wood floor it would not absorb heat from your foot, but tile will absorb heat and it will feel cold.

  6. because your feet where under the hot sheets and then you step on the floor that had A.C hitting it all night long.

  7. body temp = 98.6 F

    Ambient temp = approx 72 F

  8. When you are asleep, your body warms up either because it's natural or you covered yourself with a blanket. Therefore, wehn you step on a  floor that's room temp, it's gonna feel cold.

  9. The tile has a higher heat transfer coefficient.  The tile and the carpet are the same temperature but b/c the tile "takes heat from you quicker'' it feels colder.  If you hold a peice of metal and a peice of wood at the same time the metal feels colder but the metal and wood are the same temperature.

  10. The floor tile is a good conductor of heat, it sucks heat from your foot very quickly.
