Question:

Why does one side of the guitar strap have strings?

im guessing you tie it on.. but i dont trust it like what if it falls off is there something i do with it?

the other side has the regular slit where you put the k**b thing through

  1. Some guitars have a strap button on the heel of the neck, and some don't.  If you don't, then you would use the cords to tie the guitar strap to the headstock, under the strings, just above the nut. They'll hold the guitar safely if you make a good strong knot.

    If you do have a strap button, take the cords off and put the strap button on the heel through the slit where the cords were.

    The reason is because some guitar players, especially country singers like to tie the string under the strings on the headstock.
