Why does one window look faster than another on a train?

If I ook out of one window on a train it looks like the train is travelling faster than if I look out of the opposite wondow. Why is this the case?

Interesting... This would be a case of perspective / relative motion.

Looking out the window NEXT to you, you are seeing the objects CLOSE to you, so they pass in and out of your view more quickly than the objects in the OPPOSITE window which are further away... so they take "longer" to pass in and out of your view.
