Why does our 2 year old cat still do the kitten sideways hop?

our cat has been doing that halloween style, sideways hop that only kittens do his whole life ... and he's two. ive never seen an adult cat do this...anyone else have a "special" cat?

My cat does it, also.  She's 3, but maybe she's just young at heart :)
