Why does our chest feel funny whenever we see someone we like?

i'm just wondering why whenever we see someone we like, we will feel a certain sensation in our chest... like as though the heart skips a beat.

I was always told it had to do with your solar plexus, but I don't know how accurate that is! But I know that weird excited/nervous feeling you are talking about =)

It's maybe that you hope the person is going to buy you a nice meal and your stomach is reacting in anticipation.

With me, it feels like my heart is gonna burst out of my chest, and I can hardly breathe! It's wonderful, but it's a kind of stress the body is dealing with. In fact, it could be a biological reaction, like when a man unconsciouslt pulls in his stomach or a woman lifts her chest when they meet on the beach... it's often wuite involuntary!

Some call it magnetic attraction, some desire. We are vibrating /feeling creatures, we send out as well as receive energy(really)this response when its a positive is that wonderful sensation. Versus when our heart/solar plexus sinks when its a response that strikes us as unpleasant.

This is really a good example of our mind/emotional selves in use in everyday life.
