We bought a used freezer 2 years ago for our garage. We wanted it to put meat in that we could get on sale. All the meat we have is fine but all the white butcher paper smells so bad you just want to gag,It smells of rotting meat. The man we bought it from seems confused he never had any problems...uh-huh...right. at any rate whats the best way to clean it out? we already bleached and closed it up with vinegar for several days. then we hung baking soda in there as well.they all worked for about a week ..... help please!

  1. It sounds to me that maybe your power went out at some point of time and partically thawed your meat. Or if the man you bought it from had spoiled meat in it. Maybe there's a critter in the coils tht has died. ( the coils would be warm when your freezer is plugged in and a perfect Little warmer spot for a chip muck, mouse or whatever. I feel for you. better get to the bottom of this or your food will pick up the oders. You have to be very careful about buying used items. Their roach invested house could become yours too. Like toasters, fridges, microwave etc,, same goes with blankets etc.like lice etc
