Why does our hampster go potty in his wheel??

Question

Our hampster cage is outfitted with a wheel on the outside of the actual cage, the only problem is that our lovely Bubba the Hampster pees in there. He will not go in his bedding or anywhere inside the actual cage. We tried to move the wheel to the other side of the cage and everything? What can we possibly do? Changing and cleaning the wheel daily is a not so much an option we like....

Yep.  I had two gerbils and this scenario sounds VERY familiar.  I don't think there is anything else you can do.  You can try "Green Apple Spray"--that's what I was told to do.  But, alas, it didn't work for me. . .

I hope you bought your hamster lots of fun tubing and toys!  Our pets deserve the best!  :)
