Question:

Why does our rabbit paw at my daughter?

He's a very nice bunny. When my daughter holds him he digs at her tummy. We thought maybe he was acting like he was trying to get comfortable like they do when they make a bed.

He is a three month old Netherland Dwarf and we just got him three days ago.

  1. he is most likely trying to get down, my rabbit dose that when it needs to use its litter box and wants to be let go

it also likes to have a blanket covering it up (including the head) when its being held

  2. He's trying to rearrange her clothes.  You might notice he does this with things on the floor too.  Be careful though cause sometimes they try and pick up the clothing with their teeth and move it.  Sometimes they pinch skin.  They don't do it on purpose so you have to watch out.

  3. Awwww, Netherland dawfs are soooooooo cute...Rabbits have a natural urge to dig. I'm sure he/she is just trying to relax and get comfy. I have three Netherland dwarf's and they all do it.   Good luck and many happy moments with the lil one!
