Why does people think the Russian are attacking Georgia, the state?

I mean, come on! really, "i hope they don't attack, i like the braves" or " i like the coca-cola factory". its actually the european country.

  2. Because people are self-obsessed and skipped a few years at school??

    Are people actually saying this though? I mean anyone with half a brain would figure out that "Russia has sent troops across the boarder into neighbouring Georgia" (as all the news channels are saying) couldn't possibly mean the state.

  5. A buddy of mine that actually goes to Texas A&M said "that sucks for that state", I answered back and told him "yeah it sure does" thinking of it as a nation state and he replied "but I hope Texas or Florida help out the refugees". I LOL I could not believe it.

  9. When I heard it on the radio, my first thought was "man, some idiots are going to think they mean Georgia, the state!".  But I haven't heard anybody actually say or post anything like that yet.  I guess you did.  Hope they were just joking, or young kids.

  10. Because Americans rarely are aware of the world outside of our Country. The are ignorant to the fact that there are more important things than what affects their daily lives. This is why we are perceived so badly by members of other countries.
