Reading all of these boards today just makes me look around in shame, to a point. I've seen some people get really aggressive and defensive for people they don't even know. I'm not saying that I'm above it, I just wonder why we can't find more things to AGREE on as opposed to that where we DISAGREE. No wrong answers here, I would love to hear civil comments from conservatives and liberals.

  1. Because every body has their own Idea of My way is the only way

Those people generally have a dominating aggressive posture in words they say to others.

They are the ones who will always criticize but never want to get involved to do something to change it.

Now you see how dictator's get started they are the ones who do want to get involved.

Just think of one of those who voice their opinion and get a near violent defense if anyone does not agree with theirs! 1 !

  2. This is the nature of politics. One must be forceful in their views to get things done. This is one reason why many do not like CEO's or bosses. They sometimes have to take a hard line with those who work for them, especially when they work "against them".

It is almost funny that those in government leadership roles badmouth such CEO's and business owners, then act "just like them" when they want their legislation passed.

People in leadership positions do have to work with other leaders, but, they also must not shy away from conflict when their decisions could determine success or failure, not only for themselves, but perhaps millions of other people. This is true for business and government.

Many people are very passionate in their political views. This is not a bad thing. Others are very hesitant to say or do things that might offend or cause conflict. To those who are hesitant, politics is not something in which they are usually interested in getting into.

There will always be issues in which Parties are so far apart that there will be no agreement. That is why we have elections to determine who will lead. We do not want those who do not represent our beliefs representing us. We choose those who most represent our beliefs, and those who will fight to make those beliefs heard and acted upon. It is really not that we don't want the same things. Most Americans do want the same things. Our biggest disagreements have to do with how we get there. And those are really big issues.

  3. Liberal-tive view here.  Negative campaigning werk$.

  4. because everyone in politics thinks they are right and all opposed are very wrong and no one person in power wants to find middle ground.  thats the problem with power, thier way or the highway.
