water when flowing very fast(or with a greater velocity .....especially one finds this in rivers n waterfalls) looks white in color though water is colorless?

  1. One word: bubbles.


  2. Because of misting, the water will break down into droplets, and the surface of the water will develop small eddies, "bumps" and bubbles. Each of those will have surfaces to reflect light, but in random directions. Each bit of light that is reflected instead of transmitted will make the water appear white.

    Same thing explains why clouds and snow appear white.
