He doesn't do anything for us. Sure he gave us a world to live in, but most of today's world sucks anyway. People treat us like c**p, we go through S****y times... Why should we worship him if he is so selfish not to ever really help us?

Please don't be rude. I want your honest oppinion on this...

  1. God only did create everything. Thats enough reason I would think. He didn't turn the world into a S****y place, we did. With our sinful and self-centered behaviour. I think we should stop blaming God for our troubles and start thanking Him for our blessings. Maybe our situation would change after that.

  2. Hello,

Great question! I have often thought about things like this. Here is my answer to your question:

First I would like to comment on the first part of your paragraph. You said He doesn't do anything for us, and the world sucks. I totally agree with you about the world sucking. It can have its bad moments.

We will all die, we will have illnesses to deal with, we will lose loved ones, and we will have failures and disappointments. Life can be rough at time, and people have felt this way since the beginning of time. I have personally felt this way as well several times.

But the thing you have to remember is this: Even though it seems like life sucks right now, this isn't the way it is going to be forever. God has made a promise since the first book of the Bible that He will put an end to this in the future. One day all this stuff that seems so pointless and miserable, will not seem so bad.

When a kid dies of cancer and it seems so unfair and tragic, suddenly it won't seem so bad when that kid is going to live forever in the presence of God in complete happiness and never die again.

So I have learned that when I get down, I try to focus on the positive.

Also, I would like to point out that even though life sucks sometimes, it also has its incredible moments. I try to focus on the positives in life, and set goals and be the best I can be. This means work hard, love everyone, forgive people, and do my best to follow God's teachings and instructions.

Now, about why God thinks He is worthy of worshipping. You have to keep in mind, that throughout history, people were incredibly stupid. I mean, they would worship golden calfs, kill their own children for a sacrifice to some random "god" and even worse.

God is simply saying, "hey, worship me and only me, not these dumb fake gods that cause you to sin." Not that He just loves to be worshipped, but just to worship Him alone. Also, I find it interesting that God specifically warns against Idols. Idols represent a material thing. God is the only non-material thing, and can't be represented by an image.

Also, from  my perspective He does deserve worship. He is the only thing in existence that was never created, and will never end. Even the universe had a beginning (according to most scientific theories), but God is the thing that never had a start. God IS. So the point before time or the universe began, there was only God.

Great question! Have a great night!

  3. Wow, I was just pondering this myself. It makes me feel really horrible to question his worthiness. I don't think he is denying us help. To recieve help, you must first have faith in him. If you doubt that he will give you the answer you seek, then you will not recieve it. Maybe because you won't be open-minded about it. He speaks subtly. Through others, through song, through situation. I'm not saying that he can't/won't speak directly to you. But sometimes, it is your conscience that he speaks to you through. The Bible says 'faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains'. Without that faith, you have no power through him. He did give us the world, but then sent his fallen angel, Lucifer, to patrol it. Lucifer is the only one on Earth with us. God is above us...observing. He gave us freewill, and that is why he doesn't intrude. He gives us trials, and expects us to make the right decision. Like our earthly father, he will be disappointed if we fail. But he will still love us, and still accept our apology. The world is full of ugly ignorant people. So, why fall into that norm? Why not be better then them in the sense, that we don't judge, and we don't doubt.

  4. I understand your question and it is a good one.  It can suck really hard being here. It can seem lonely here.  But life is short. You must be a younger person. Time I promise you will go so fast. Things change, people come in & out of your life. Nothing stays the same.

The ONLY steadfast love I have ever received came from God.

I have not ever gone to bed hungry, cold, on deaths door, and I have a roof over my head. Already I am blessed.

Be patient. God is not done with you.

  5. Who messed up the world in the 1st place wasn't it human pride?

  6. Wow...alright. I see how ur looking at this. Let me present it to u in another way. God created us and gave us everything we needed. But man decided to sin, which is the curse we live in now. Since we sin, we cannot enter into God's presence. Being a "good person" doesn't cut it. Once we sin, we're out. God CANNOT see sin. If we sin, we cannot enter into His presence. So He sent His Only Son to die for us, and in such a horrible way....is that selfish? Would u do that? For people who would later hate u?....I didn't think so. That's the love He has for us, and He is not selfish, He is a jealous God. He loves us and wants the best for us. Please do not blame the problems of this society on Him. It is not His fault that people want to sin. It is the people's fault. In fact, I have never seen such a selfless act....He gave His Only Son to be tortured and killed by the hands of people who hated Him...and He gave up His throne to do that...He didn't have to do that, but He did. So in my opinion, He is worthy of worship and not anybody else.

  7. How do you know God wants to be worshiped?

As far as I know God has never asked us to.

Maybe he just thinks of us as annoying fans.

I guess people worship him because they think their life is good. Or they think a crappy life is better then no life at all.

Oh, by the way, have you ever tried to create a world? Let alone a perfect one! I think He did one h**l of a job, and I don't even believe he exists!

  8. He and his followers claim that he does help us. I've failed to see it, though.

    Edit:

Like Banana. She says that people choose to be crappy. We don't choose our lives, or how other people treat us. The only way that my life would possibly be better with God in it is if I were just blind to the harsh facts and the bad things that occur in it, which I've noticed a lot of people are. They try to ignore it or cover it up, or maybe even make excuses for it.

  9. Hi !

He wants us to worship him so we don't worship anything else, it is for our good, not that he has an ego or that he needs it.  It is so we put Him first, and therefore, make the right decisions, treat people the way we want to be treated.  He gave us everything for a wonderful life, it's the things we think we want and need that makes us miserable.  If everyone in the world lived as Jesus told us to, there would be no hate, no war, no injustice.  God doesn't force us to do anything, he gave us free will - just think, don't you want your spouse to love you because they want to ? or would you want that they had to or were forced to??  When we don't listen and do not follow God's teachings, we fall into situations and have to deal with the consequences.   If we worship God, we will put him first, we will live like he asked us to, our prayers will be answered.  He has answered many of mine, and I have felt a love and peace that came from him that you cannot experience in this world.   I hear alot of people complaining about the world and others, yet when I see them in a situation, they don't behave the way they wished everyone else would. When I find myself in a situation where someone treats me bad, I respond with love and not hate and you would be amazed how it transforms a situation.  I hope you start reading his word, visit churches until you find one that you can connect with and see what happens.   Take Care....and God Bless

  10. He gives us LIFE!!  He made us.  He made us whole and perfect and in the Fall of Man, WE, mankind MADE it so bad things happen.  It's OUR fault sin and terrible things entered the world.  But God loves us, and is incredibly merciful.  We all deserve to be zapped out with a flick of His fingers, and we could easily be, but because He loves us, He allows us to exist and have a chance to find faith in Him so we can go to Heaven someday:)  He DOES help us.  Take it from someone who has had:

    Crohn's Disease

    Severe Depression/Social Anxiety

    Anorexia Nervosa

I haven't lost my faith and trust in Him, in fact it's been made stronger, as has His love.  The Bible says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you".  This has been made quite clear.  Yeah, I've doubted, I've gotten angry at Him, even Jesus cried as He was dying, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"  But with us, He never does.  If you're one of His people, He won't.  And it's easy to BECOME one of His people and children.  It just takes IMMENSE faith and wanting Him with you.  If you WANT Him, if you trust in what His Son Jesus did for you and WHY He did it, He WILL come.  If you want Him.

This isn't my opinion.  It is fact.

  11. well goin 2 heaven should be a good reason

  12. he has an ego.

  13. im agnostic but,

all that stuff that lets yu down on

god, and stuff the bible says

is stuff christians over the years

have established as "morals" in society.

i only believe in god and jesus, thats it.

no pope, no bible, no religion.

  14. You have the right to your opinion, but to me it sounds spoiled. Do your parents still make up your bed and kiss your "owies"? Depending on your age, hopefully not. God gave everyone a world in which to live and go about their own business. He asked for nothing in return, just love him back the way he loves you. Like a good parent, he doesn't intervene in every problem you have. People need to learn to be better people, since they cause pretty much all of the hardship we have on earth.

  15. if you believed that God has given you the world to live then; is God not worthy to be worship?

Rom 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

  16. He does help us. And people became "crappy" themselves. They chose to be that way. Suffering helps us realize that alone we are nothing but with Him, we are everything :) (my opinion)

  17.   Not to be rude, but how ignorant are you to think God is selfish?!  He gave us this world, and sure it's bad today, but that's our fault, not his.  We worship him for giving us life, and hope.  God could destroy us all, but he doesn't, does he?! When we die, it's not like we enter an endless void, we go to Heaven, which is a beautiful, and graceful place.  God does alot more for us then you realize...Georgia Vs. Russia, for example.  Did God cause that? No, Russia did.

  18. Worship comes from worth-ship and nothing is of greater worth than God. Whatever you would put forward, was made by God and is a pale reflection of His Truth, Beauty, Goodness.

Of course I am not answering you, because you are tripe. I'm helping the innocents you hope to corrupt.

You are as transparently evil as Iago. "Your mother seems a w***e but convince me she be a saint. I am open and of pure heart".

  19. Only God can answer that.

    Keep listening....

What? You don't hear him either? Hmmm.... maybe our ears aren't tuned to His frequency. I mean, He must hae a HUUGE voicebox, being omnipresent and all. Maybe his voice is too deep for us to hear.

  20. Apparently we need to worship him because he is "all-loving", which he shows by killing large amounts of people every now and then like in the Bible.
