Question:

Why does "Market Summary" on Yahoo Finance only show the NASDAQ chart?

Is there any way to change the default chart on Yahoo Finance's home page? I can edit the stocks I see, but it always shows the NASDAQ chart exclusively, even when I eliminate NASDAQ from the list of stocks I'm watching. Sure--I can always just click on "Dow" to see the chart, but I want the Dow chart to be the default on the Finance home page. Is there any way to choose this?

  1. Unfortunately, I think we're in a bind.  I've tried to change it too, but with no luck and I think I've clicked about everything there is to click!

I'd suggest emailing Y!customer care.  Just click on the "help" link in the upper right of your Y!Finance page.  Then, from there, click on any category, like "quote basics" or something.  Then at the bottom, you'll see a "contact customer care" button.  Use that to describe and ask how (and if) they can solve your question.

    Hope that helps!
