  1. Idiots!!! Need I say more?!!!

  2. Racism comes from a fear of difference. Utterly pointless. We all bleed the same blood.

  3. because we are predators. Thats why our eyes face forward not side ways like a deer. Its in our nature to hunt and fight so we go to war against people that look different.

  4. if you have to know that we live in a harsh and evil world

  5. when pocahontas was shunned from being romantically involved with captain john smith cause he is white. duh!

  6. I'm no expert, but I can imagine it comes from fear. When another creature looks different and makes different sounds, it could be scary.  You have to go back to aboriginal peoples to find the source of that.

  7. I'm not sure all I can tell you is that I had to read  this book for one of my classes it talks about racism and if you really would like to know where it comes from read this book

The Mismeasure of Man By Stephen Jay Gould. He goes into the history of racism and other things.

  8. Its the fear of difference.

  9. very interesting question imma keep an eye in this question...

  10. racism is hatred. hatred is taught your not born pissed off.

  11. Racism exist because some people have need to feel better than others.  Racism started with man.

    Cain and Able.

Cain wanted to better than his brother and grew to dislike his brother because GOD favored Able's scarfice.

Although Cain and Able were the same "race"  --- Race is an easy way to discrimate one person from another. s*x is another way --Sexism.

  12. Even chimps display aggression to unfamiliar chimps, it's not unique to humans, or even primates.

It's 'selfish genes' at work. If someone looks like us, they are probably related to us reasonably closely, and we'll naturally give them preferential treatment. It's a bit like... if there was a food shortage you'd make sure your own family ate before you gave food to the neighbours. Family first.

  13. unfortunately, people fear what they don't understand or haven't been exposed to, and this ignorance is what breeds hatred and prejudice.  it's a very primitive survival instinct that human beings needed millions of years ago to protect themselves from unfamiliar and often dangerous animals.  however today, this irrational fear has no place in our civilized society.  sadly people have been judging others since the beginning of time because it's easier to simply shun someone than to make the effort to understand them.  i'm incredibly regretful to say that some people just don't understand that we are all equals and brothers because they just aren't tolerant.  =( hope this helps

  14. because you ask stupid questions

  15. I think It goes back to evolution and identifying with similar looking animals. There has always been a pecking order in the animal world. It seems some of us arn't that much different.

  16. Because some people are ignorant.

  17. Almost everyone agrees that "racism" is bad. Yet no one agrees on just what, exactly, racism is. There is a reality of social inequality all around us today. And socioeconomic inequality is often closely correlated to skin color and perceived racial affiliation in many parts of the world. Unequal treatment, individual and systemic, is a reality that poisons our social environment. As writers struggle to understand the roots of this injustice and define it, the words "racism" and the corresponding "racist" are not infrequently invoked. Calling someone a racist is a strong pejorative.[1] Proven charges of racism result in stigmatization and social exclusion. Many organizations have sanctions against racist behavior and speech, and many countries have passed laws against racism. Yet despite all this hostility towards racism and racists, and all the general and specific measures to eliminate it, no exact definition exists.

  18. racism exsists because people dont like a certain group of people because of their looks, culture, language etc.

  19. This website traces the history of the idea of race.

    http://www.understandingrace.org/

  20. God created it to keep people like you from getting a big head

  21. From the in group/out group psychology of humans.

  22. BLAH

  23. People of increased melanin counts.

  24. Racism is a social construct (Hello John D)...it has nothing to do with genetics or biology. Humanity is one species. Race has nothing to do with biology. Racism is a way to change power hierarchies.

  25. ask a better question

  26. My father had a pit bull. She was a very nice and loyal dog. We were all very careful around her because the breed has a reputation of turning on it's owner. I felt bad for being so afraid of her. She was the sweetest animal I have ever known. I still wince a little when I think of how easily she could have killed my Little nephews when no one was watching. The thing is that people all have preconceived notions of how others really are. We learn these things from our family, friends, neighbors, TV, literature, and just plain life experience. We are all prejudice. Anyone who claims to be free of it may also be that one in a million person who has never masturbated. We all think things, but what we really do about it is the ultimate answer. We all need to learn healthy attitudes towards ourselves and others.

  27. ask yo' momma.
