  1. ever notice that the more you try to learn about something the more you find out you don't know. Why does it have to mean anything just accept the fact that long ago it was decided this is the way it should be. just accept what is.

  2. So, you are saying yellow means slow d**n all this time I thought it meant speed up before it turns red! jk  not sure don't think there is any logic

  3. The idea is partially linked to how nature does things. RED is thought of as a hot/dangerous color, GREEN is supposedly linked to thoughts of peace/calming sensations, (think how frustrated the world would be with bright RED trees and grasses) and more shades of green are computed by human sight. (Also why night vision goggles images' are GREEN).  YELLOW was not even installed on the first light poles,  until several major accidents took place, so YELLOW (technically amber)  also a color of warning was used to notate a gradual change of difference.  PS. Take notice of those lighted EXIT signs in public buildings, for decades the color RED, new research proved in emergencies people would actually move AWAY from Red exit signs. So GREEN exit signs are now being required for new installs.     Hope I helped a little  --IC

  4. there is no logic just three colors...

  5. Yellow means watch out it's about to be red. The logic is without these traffic controls everyone would crash at intersections.

  6. Red always means "Danger, Stop!"

    Now, Green means "Go."

    Amber means "Caution!"
