why does saint john (from wild 94.9) require people to tell him that he is so fierce? or in other words tell him that he has or displays an intense or ferocious aggressiveness...

The mistaken believe that people want to and or need to hear agression on the radio

Hoping that been aggressive will get him Howard Stern's pay packet.

If you do not like this type of presentation on the radio;

(a) write to the station manager - and only the station manager, no the DJ - and say that you are no longer going to listen to the station at all because of him.

(b) get all your friends and relatives to do the same

(c) do NOT listen to the station again - or at least until he leaves.

If you want to stop this type of rather unprofesseional, amature type of broadcasting it is only when people complain and stop listening that it will happen - it is very easy to be aggressive on-air it requires very little talent or education to do so.

If you hear him elsewhere advertising a product that you might buy, ring the ADVERTISER, and tell them you might have bought the product but now it is on your banned list because of the aggressive announcer. When you ring you must speak to the marketing manager, the advertising manager, the president, ceo or someone at a similar level - not the person who answers the phone.
