I remember along time ago one of my friends told me, saying watermelon prevents you from sneezing when your about to sneeze at the moment. At first I didn't believe him, but when I was going to sneeze, he said watermelon and it really did work. Now every time i'm about to sneeze, I always picture a watermelon and say it in my head so I wont sneeze, and it works. It also works with other people, you just gotta say it at the right moment. Why is that?

  1. I believe its mind over matter. I know someone who believes the same thing, but I've never seen it work for him.

  2. I have never heard of that.  However, I know if you take your finger and press the flesh between your nose and your upper-lip, it stops you from sneezing.  The reason it works is because there's a blood vessel that runs along there, and if you cut it off, it stops the nerves in your nose from overreacting.  Saying "watermelon" might do something similar to that.

  3. It's all in the mind. Sorry but it's complete bogus. You believe it's gunna work, it is gunna work.
