Why does shawnee peak only have 22 runs open they just had 2 snow storms?

makes no sense had to snow storms 40 inchs in total snow fall

99% of snowmaking on the mountain but only 22 runs open what s up over there there has to be enough snow because there web site shows 22-36 inches in snow depth in all parts of the mountain and i am staying near by on the weekend was wondering if all of it would open because there should be no excuse for this

Could be one of two things.  There may still be som exposed hazards on the trails that are not open.  More likely, there is not enough skier traffic to merit running the lifts.  Its all about the money.
