Why does she always pick at her clothes?

My friend constantly pulls and picks at her clothes, no matter who she's around. Why?

Maybe she thinks that she doesn't look good if her shirt moves a certan way or something. I'm not real sure on what you mean by her "picking" at her clothes. Maybe you could ask her? Sorry I didn't give you much advise!

It's a nervous habit and she's probably not even aware she's doing it. Some people chew their nails, some smoke - anything to keep their hands busy, instead of wringing them out of nervousness.

i do the same thing. It has to do with self-esteem. She might be very self-conscious, so she might think she looks fat, or maybe her clothes are too tight. But i do it when im nervous or i feel uncomfortable. And i am soooo shy and quiet too. Like i said, it  has to do with self confidence and self esteem.
