Why does she behave like this ?

I have two best mates, I try to treat them the same but I've known friend number 1 all my life and friend number 2 almost all my life but best friend number 2 seems to think three is a crowd and when it's just me and friend number 2 she's fine not mean at all , but when friend 1 is around that's when she's horrible I was talking to friend 1 on the computer and friend 2 started to say GO AWAY it just annoys me a lot of the time , and she tries to get rid of me too a family member was coming over to stay so she says you have to see them and all that . Nothing I do or say can do anything and I don't want to loose them why does she do it?

i think you should try talking to her. just say that you love them both and want to keep being friends

ask her what the problem is

but if she keeps being hostile tell her to tone it down

and be nice

She sounds like a high maintenance friend.  

Tell her you would like all three of you to be friends,

and that is important to you that you all three get

along.   You don't like being put in the middle and

it really makes you uncomfortable.

If she can't be a good enough friend to respect your

wishes, then maybe you should consider spending

less time with her.  And be sure to let her know why

when she asks.   Cuz, she WILL ask...

It's not fair that she would make you choose between

your friends.  She needs to grow up.

insecure would come to mind.She needs to feel that you or the other friend will accept her and not try to ditch her.

jealousy alot of females get jealous when they have or when they think they have to compete for your attention just tell her how you feel and if the issue doesnt get resolved then tell her that yall relationship is in jeopardy

She wants to be friends with you, and she wants you to be friends with her. She may feel that friend one and you talk about her behind her back, or thinks that you are against her.

try to show her that thats not how it is and just try to shrug it off when she is being mean, when you do this she will notice its not affecting you and try being a proper friend to get you attention instead.
