Why does she do this? (please read on...)?

Question

My friend will tell me she was cruel to someone (some of the people i know, some i don't) and that she said all these rude things to them b/c she doesn't like them then I hear from the person or someone they know that my friend was actually really sweet to them... This has happened several times. (I've seen her cruel before so shes not one of those types of people that can't be mean) This just strikes me as odd that she would lie about it

What is your opinion of this?

She's probably very insecure, so she tells stories to make it seem like she's tough.

Mabey shes trying to set you up. She could see you as a threat to her somehow and wants you to think thats how you should behave. What ever her motive are realize that being real and honest will never come back to haunt you. So be yourself and try not to let other peoples behavior influence yours.

She may be attention seeking and trying to stir up trouble for you so she can watch the fall out as you have to clean up the mess she created.... watch your back you dont know what she is saying about you when you're not there!
